DESIGN DOCUMENTATION

Another, perhaps less important, aspect of this course is the process of design documentation.  I have been using this blog as a way to force myself to curate and organize the design information in a timely manner.  After the class is complete, I will put together a formal portfolio booklet, but this forum serves as an initial way to begin that process.

I have also been using this blog as an illustration for the students on how to curate and document design work.  It is not so much about the 'blog' as an online tool, but more about the recording, documenting, curating and editing of the design process throughout the semester.  If I waited until the end of the term, this would be a hugely daunting process. Archiving the work here, each week, little by little is a much more manageable process.
